Book fair is a feast of books. Everyone likes to visit book fair. I have no exception of it last week. I went Kolkata book fair with my parents. We entered the fair at about 11p.m. Then we bought tickets. The gates and stalls were beautifully decorated. The stalls were arranged on their side of ground. Many bookstalls and publishers from different part of countries joined in the fair. I was charmed to see the book and book everywhere. The fair contained various kinds of books. There was nit compulsion of buying books. A large crowd gathered before stalls. We moved from one stall to another stall. We bought many books. A cultural programme was at the fair ground. I had great opportunity to meet Shankar Ray, a great poet. He gave me an autograph on my diary. At last we entered in to the food stall. Here we take chawmin, Pbuchka etc.

                       Physical exercise

There is a saying “health is wealth”. It means health is the source of happiness. Modern education aims at the physical development for various reasons. There is a deep relation between body and mind. Sound heath is the adobe of sound mind. Physical exercise makes up physically and mentally alert. Good health is also necessary some professions. It is also necessary in natural life. Swami Vivekananda advised the young stars to play football instead of reading the Gita. Physical exercise is only way to keep good health. Boys and girls should take part in all sorts of games and sports. Yoga is most important for keeping sound health. Health and wealth is both individual in social life.

                       Our School

The name of our school is Kolkata Public School. It is one of the best schools in Bengal. The school is very far away from our home. It is situated a peaceful area of the locality. The school has its own building. The building of our school is very big and beautiful. The classrooms are also very big and airy. There is a large gate at the entrance. There is a beautiful and grassy playground in font of our school. Here we play football, volleyball, cricket in the breaks and game periods. We have a good library with large amount of books and a fine flower garden with beautiful flowers. There are about nine hundred students and twenty five teachers in our school. The teachers teach us earnestly and love us dearly. We respect our teachers like our parents. Our school follows the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. The results of our school have all along been very satisfactory. We  love our school and we are really proud of it.

There is no person without any duty. A student is basically a learner. Learning is his primary job. It is said student life is the seed time of life. Besides learning a student has a lot of duties. He has duty not only for himself but also family and the society. His most important duty is to build a successful career for himself. He must not forget his fellowmen. He must combat the ills of society. In our country students should come forward to fight against illiteracy, pollution, dowry system, superstations. They should take part reliefs and rescue operation during natural calamity. Students should start night schools for illiterate people of their locality. Students should go to the remote village during their vacations to teach them health and hygienic.

Swach BharatMission is a scheme of making India clean. This scheme was launched on 2^nd October ,2014 making respect to the father of the nation. It was organised by the Government of India lead by the prime minister Narendra Modi. Many renowned celebrities like Anil Ambani, Sachine Tendulker, Prianka Chopra, Salman Khan, Ramdev Baba, Amir Khan took part in the Avijan. This is a national level campaign to clean our India. All celebrities hold the groom and cleaned a road. It is India’s biggest clean related drive. Millions of Government Employees and school and college students have participated in this programme.

Computer is one of the greatest inventions of modern technology. It has become an integral part of human life all over the world today. It was invented by the British scientist Charles Babage. Different works can be done very easily and accurately within a very short time through computers. Computers are used in all offices, shops, banks. In most of the schools in West Bengal students learn computer. We can pay bill through it. We can enjoy music and movies. Emails have brought about a revolution in the field of communication. One may have any information or any topic under the sky through internet. The computer has opened many scopes for employment. In medical science the computer is working wonders. Now doctors use computer in their operations and treatments. But computer is not without its dark sides. Computer has given birth too many crimes in society. Many criminals are using computers to organise crimes. Cyber crimes are growing day by day.

However computer has taken such a place that we cannot live without it today.

Modern age is the age of science. Science has invented many great things to comfort our life. Television is one of them. It was invented by J.I.Barird in 1926. It is a powerful medium of entertainment and education. We also enjoy drama, cinema, sports, songs and many other important events on television. It puts before our eyes the objects and persons thousands of kilo miters away with sound and voice. It has brought the whole world into our drawing room. But it has some dark side. Students are neglecting their studies. Some programs are stupid. It destroys the mind of young boys and girls. Seeing crime and violence they turn aggressive and the criminal get inspiration from them. The adults become lazy and they neglected their studies.

The ‘kanyashree’ project is a remarkable achievement of our government. The project has been launched to better the condition of girl students of economically weaker families. The project targets 4 lacks of girls students. As much as 1000 cr are kept in the yearly budget to sponsor the girls getting educational both in school and college level. It has two categories. Students from class VIII to XII aged below 18 are under k1 and above 18 are under k2. Girls applying k1 forms are given Rs 500 per year and those who are applying k2 will get Rs 25000 at a time. The incentives are sent directly to the bank accounts of the applicant girls. As such there maintains transparency in the disbursements of the huge funds. The project has two distinguished purpose. It will encourage the girl students more and more to avail themselves of education. As such the early marriage rate of the girls will be less. Again the project will decrease the dropout rate of girl students.
